Members of the Elastomer Products Group (EPG) receive services addressing both comprehensive manufacturing concerns with broad interest across the membership, as well as unique services for individual product sectors. RMA services are provided through both the expertise of its Washington D.C. - based staff, and in cooperation with other advocacy groups in- and outside of Washington. Core EPG services include:
Public Policy - The RMA is an advocate of member interests before both the federal and individual state governments. Issues of daily concern include environmental and OSH compliance, trade, energy, and workforce issues. In these pursuits, the RMA sometimes works in tandem with NAM, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, ASTM International, and ANSI.
Technical & Standards - The RMA provides a member forum for the exchange of ideas in the formulation of industry standards - including design specifications, test methods, and user best practices. These functions are done through the EPG's committee framework, and provided for public use through the circulation and sale of EPG Publications.
Networking - The RMA provides members with a forum for the development of personal relationships and the exchange of ideas, through committees, educational functions, and the Annual Meeting.
Industry Promotion - The RMA serves as an advocate in the promotion of the U.S. finished elastomeric product industry. Audiences include U.S. consumers, related industries, competing industries, academic institutions, and other advocacy groups.
