The EPG has been associated with Ferris State University (link to www.ferris.edu) since 1998 when industry and the state of Michigan opened the National Elastomer Center on FSU's Big Rapids campus, through a public-private co-op. Since then the facility has been home to the university's rubber & plastics engineering programs, which offer a unique academic experience including hands-on factory training.
