The member companies of the Elastomer Products Group (EPG) are served by a framework of member standing committees, which at the executive level oversee the group's budgetary and policy direction; and at the staff level provide consensus action on common industry concerns. The current standing committees of the Elastomer Products Group include: EPG Executive Committee - An executive committee of elected full and supplier members, responsible for the oversight and planning of EPG finances and funded programs. The committee is chaired by an elected member executive, for a term of 2-years. The EPG Executive Committee is responsible to the RMA Board of Directors. EPG Program Committee - An executive subcommittee of the EPG Executive Committee, responsible for the oversight and planning of the RMA/EPG Annual Meeting, including site selection, agendas, and speakers. Public Policy Committee - An open member forum for the consideration of all public policy issues. The committee is responsible to the EPG Executive Committee, and meets minimally once a year in conjunction with the RMA Annual Meeting. Topics include, but are not limited to: environmental & OSH compliance, international regulations, ISO, workforce issues, product liability, recycling, trade, energy, education & training, industry marketing & promotion. Technical Policy Committee - An open member forum for the consideration of all technical issues. The committee is responsible to the EPG Executive Committee, and meets minimally once a year in conjunction with the RMA Annual Meeting. Topics include, but are not limited to: metrics, nano-technology, standards & test methods, product categorization, worker training, material classification, TPEs, compounding, bond, process machinery. Supplier Technical Committee - A member-driven technical committee staffed by supplier member technical services representatives. The committee's agenda is driven by issues of common concern with finished elastomeric products members. Occupational Safety & Health Committee - A member-driven committee staffed by RMA member safety professionals. The committee addresses issues of common concern with regard to federal and state OSH compliance and industry best practices. Hose Technical Committee - A member-driven technical committee staffed by member hose manufacturer representatives. The committee maintains all RMA hose publications, including The RMA Hose Handbook, and represents the United States on ISO TC45. Power Transmission Belt Technical Committee - A member-driven technical committee staffed by member pt belt manufacturer representatives. The committee maintains all RMA pt belt publications, and represents the United States on ISO TC41. Flat Belt Technical Committee - A member-driven technical committee staffed by member flat/conveyor belt manufacturer representatives. The committee maintains The RMA Conveyor & Elevator Handbook and ASTM D 378, and represents the United States on ISO TC41. Sealing Products Technical Committee - A member-driven technical committee staffed by member seal manufacturer representatives. The committee maintains all RMA sealing products publications, and represents the United States on TC131.
